Small Business Training
An Affiliated Club is the equivalent of a small retail store with a few regular contract employees and frequent volunteers and auxiliaries. Affiliated Clubs provide free training and sells products from the PX. An Affiliated Club is a small business that has 3 departments,
- Club Management: the President, Secretary and Treasurer who manage the local airsoft club
- Merchant’s Guild: The Merchant’s Guild manages the local flea and farmer’s market booths and other events for the Fort Edwards Post Xchange (PX).
- The Merchant’s Guild focuses on retail sales and marketing
- Merchant’s Guild are ‘civilians’ who represent the local merchants, artists and vendors who have products in the PX
- Mobile Training Team (MTT): The MTT manages the local ‘military’ training for the Mojave Rangers
- Ranger Basic, Team Role and Leadership courses are free
Commissions and Rank-Based Stipends
MTT members make rank-based stipends for their roles in the local system and can make personal commissions from the Merchant’s Guild also.
- Rank-based stipends are for the professional milsim players who manage the Mojave Rangers game and post-apocalyptic immersion.
- Team Links: The Affiliated Club itself has a team link that team members and 3rd SOB promotes. The Team Link gives a 5% commission to the club, to use for club insurance, operating expenses and local staff events and bonuses, with additional portions of each sale going into the General Fund.
- Affiliated Clubs run annual sales drives locally to cover insurance and operating expenses
- Sales Links: Any 3rd SOB member of any rank or unit can join the Sales Team and make a straight 10% commission on any products sold through their personal sales link. The Sales Team is a voluntary program and airsoft/milsim players are not required to join the Sales Team.
Joining the Sales Team
Any player who completes the Fort Phase (the first 3 trainings and drills) can apply for the optional Sales Team even if no rank-based positions are available locally. The purpose of the Sales Team is to allow any player with a minimal amount of training to participate in the sales programs and make commissions from helping market the products in the PX.
The more people who market the PX and Amazon links, the more potential sales the business makes and the more money goes into the General Fund, which increases the stipends for the rank-based players also.
