The Club Manager Basic Course has the basic information for the players who want to get paid to play the Mojave Rangers Game.
3 Ways to Get Paid to Play
You can get paid to play the Mojave Rangers Game several ways,
- Playing at the fort: Players at the fort are split into 6 functional groups described below
- Merchant’s Guild Sales Team: flea market and farmer’s market vendors who market the wastelander products in the Fort Edwards PX can make commissions from online sales through their vendor link as well as consignment fees from selling wastelander goods at their local flea and farmer’s markets
- Freelance Players: Active graduates of the Ranger Basic Course get the Mojave Ranger tab as well as a monthly graduate bonus and an optional vendor sales link. Freelance Players get free entry into Fort Edwards events and other bonuses, but aren’t part of the regular fort staff
Playing at Fort Edwards
The Merchant’s Guild, Fort Settlers, Ranger Troop 4 and Opfor are the 4 paid groups that operate out of Fort Edwards,
- Merchant’s Guild: ‘civilians’ who help manage the retail sales and fort economy
- Fort Settlers: campground hosts and Shopkeepers who manage the fort and market village facilities
- Ranger Troop 4: The Mojave Rangers who patrol the wastelands and provide security and emergency services for Mojave residents
- OpFor: the raiders that MIKE Force and the Rangers hunt
Getting Paid from the General Fund
The General Fund is a special bank account where untrackable income from Amazon and other online sources gets deposited and from which the rank-based stipends and other bonuses gets paid. A percentage of each sale through the Fort Edwards Post Xchange (the PX) goes into the General Fund and 3rd SOB also runs occasional fundraisers to boost the General Fund.
Paid gamers get a monthly rank-based stipend for their position in the ICS chart and monthly bonuses for,
- Ranger Basic Graduates
- Leadership Course Graduates
- 3 levels of paid radio operators, 1 for each FCC ham radio license
- 3 levels of paid medics
No One Gets Paid by the Hour
At Mojave Ranger School no one gets paid by the hour. Each sale from the Fort Edwards PX is broken incrementally into,
- operating costs
- fort improvements
- the General Fund
Paid gamers are 1099 contractors who have the ability to develop their own for-profit local game franchise, with paid training provided as they progress through the system.
