• Mojave Ranger Corps: 501(c)3 outdoor skills training business that teaches Scouting merit-badge compatible first aid, radio and Park Ranger skills using a theme based on a fictional post-apocalyptic Park Ranger from the Fallout video game
  • Mojave Rangers: is the Immersive Live-Action Role Play game that can be played from mod to Milsim
    • Start solo with the Fallout 4 Commonwealth Rangers: Parks & Rec mod
    • Use free online courses and interactive live-stream training to prepare for a full weekend-long Milsim team adventure at an NCR Ranger Station in the Mojave Desert.
  • Mojave Ranger Station: is a 2.5-acre Fallout-themed members-only LARP/Milsim campground designed like a desert Ranger station and market village, where Rangers and their families and friends can enjoy a persistent, weekend post-apocalyptic renaissance fair and airsoft battles.
    • Family-friendly, Scouting-compatible Live-Action Fallout: New Vegas in the Mojave Desert where the entire family can train to merit badge standards while shooting each other with plastic BB’s while learning first aid and wilderness stewardship.
  • Mojave Ranger School: free real-world, Scouting compatible first aid, radio and Park Ranger technology training using video games, LARP, airsoft/Milsim and tabletop roleplay games.
    • Ranger Basic Course: teaches first aid, radio, Search & Rescue and field skills using a 3-phase system that has 5 repeatable training missions
    • Park Ranger Technology Course: teaches Interpretation, Resource and Park Management and can be taken alone or in conjunction with the Ranger Basic Course.
    • Mojave Ranger Field Manual and Task Books: Available on Amazon.com in Sept.(‘ish) are the equivalent of the Dungeons & Dragons player manuals and explain the game rules, game world history & lore and character creation, from the inside out.
    • Mojave Ranger GURPS (Generic Universal Role Play System): Available on Amazon in January(‘ish) turns the Fallout 4 and Fallout: New Vegas video game mod storylines into tabletop a roleplay system using D20 dice (like D&D).
  • The Village of Vista de Nada is a collection of 10x10ft glamping cabins and shops where friends and family of the Ranger trainees can enjoy an immersive, member’s-only post-apocalyptic experience complete with occasional raider attacks.
  • The Vista de Nada General Store: is the online store where customers can order directly from the Ranger Station. It’s also the name of the flea market booth.
  • The NCR Mojave National Park: is this 2.5-acre Ranger Station and market village, plus any other lots in the local area that I can lease, for nothing or next to it, to designate as Desert Tortoise Habitat, or as a wildlife sanctuary, etc., even temporarily, which costs only a form letter to a couple hundred people who have land they can’t use. Because it’s funny.
    • We designate 90% of the property as habitat and 10% as a tent-based Ranger Station, which gives our Rangers places to hike to and camp out, on as long a lease as we can get for nothing.

  • Order rough draft copies of the Field Manual and classic novels
  • Update flea market booth graphics and finish the setup
  • Get videos uploaded, these are all about 5 minutes long

Funding the Mojave Ranger Corps and Mojave Station

• com monthly net income (after royalties, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) etc.)
  • 60% goes to the Ranger Resource Fund
  • 40% goes to Mojave Station water, sanitation, alternative energy and survivability basics
• General Store and Station business sales net income
• Station Building GoFundMe Campaigns
  • Raise $10k for the Kern Co. Special Use Permit for the campground
  • Raise $10k for water tanks, shower and water lines, toilet contracts and solar power

Vista de Nada Shops

Each 10×10 ‘shop’ in Vista de Nada represents one of my personal hobbies, which would ordinarily take up a room in a house. Each shop or cabin has a 10×10 courtyard.

I can give a volunteer shopkeeper free room and board at the station on the weekends (campground host) in return for 4 hours in the shop, and not have to pay taxes on the sales.

• Mojave Express Pak & Ship: where we process packages for web orders from the shops
• Shops available for lease to wasteland crafters, including free cabins for the weekend, with products made in their shops included in the General Store catalog
  • 100% of the shop lease proceeds goes to the Water & Sanitation Fund for the station

Fundraising

The items made in the shops go into the catalog, which gets used for fundraising sales as well as for items to buy in the GoFundMe fundraisers.

As a 501(c)3 it’s also possible to set up my General Store booth at Wal-Mart and a variety of other places.

In August we’ll be recruiting for Milsim players and getting ready to start training events.
