The Business Plan

Gute-N-Berg Laser Engraving manages the Fort Edward’s Merchant’s Guild, a network of flea market vendors and wasteland artists and vendors who market the Fort Edwards PX products and catalogs locally.
The Merchant’s Guild are the Wasteland vendors, artists and craftsmen who add their products to the Fort Edwards PX catalog.
The Fort Edwards Merchant’s Guild manages the PX and shops at Fort Edwards, as well as flea and farmer’s market stalls and other sales events.
Merchant’s Guild members are 1099 contract sales reps for Gute-N-Berg Laser Engraving who make commissions and bonuses from product and event sales.
Guild members (aka merchants) pay a minimal fee to join, (preferably in goods rather than NCR dollars) and the merchant’s goods are added to the Fort Edwards PX ctalog and advertised in the monthly Wasteland News catalog-zine, and fulfilled through the fort shipping dept.
Affiliated Clubs, Merchants and PIO staff disperse the catalogs in their local areas, which advertise the school programs as well as merchant products. Affiliated Clubs also have stations at flea markets and other events, with products from Guild Merchant’s for sale.
Merchant Buy-In and Discounts
Merchant Guild Joining Fees are $500, preferably in hand-crafted wasteland products rather than NCR currency. $500 (retail value) in products gives the PX a useful stock of products for events and trainings. Merchant Guild buy-in products are sold first, before orders are taken for more products. This allows both the Guild and the merchant to decide when more products are stocked.
Initial products are stocked and fulfilled through the fort shipping dept.
Ads in Wasteland News
Merchants get free and reduced-cost ads in the catalogs and on the YouTube episodes if they send camera-ready artwork (.jpg and.png files). Instructions are in the Guild sections of the Basic Course and the Guild threads on the forums.
The Merchant’s Guild Sales Team
The Merchant’s Guild Sales Team is a select group of vendors in LA, Vegas and the central valley who manage the flea market booths at the Rose Bowl and Las Vegas flea markets and farmer’s markets in the central valley.
Merchant’s Teams make a 20% commission on Merchant’s Guild products from the events they manage + ongoing 10% commissions from their sales links.
In addition to cash flow for the General Fund and marketing for wasteland vendors, the flea markets and events provide training venues for short 15-minute first aid, radio and other demonstrations from local Rangers.
