The Fort Edwards Post Xchange (PX) is the retail operation that supports the fort and Ranger Troops. The PX carries airsoft guns and gear, NCR flags and accessories and crafts and goods from wasteland crafters and artists.
Ft. Edwards Merchant’s Guild
The Merchant’s Guild are the Wasteland vendors, artists and craftsmen who add their products to the Fort Edwards PX catalog. The product sales are a way to develop some cash flow for the staff who are helping manage the programs as well as pay for real-world expenses like toilets and insurance.
Part of each sale goes into the General Fund and each month our staff get rank-based stipends based on club success, so as the school grows, so will the stipends.
Products from Wasteland Authors, Artists and Musicians Wanted
The Fort Edwards PX is looking for products from Wasteland Authors, Artists and Musicians who have products that can be included in the PX catalog.
Wasteland vendors whose products are carried through the Fort Edwards PX get more exposure for their products, directly to their target demographic. Each month the Wasteland News catalog-zine and monthly comic get distributed by our Affiliated Clubs in their local areas. Ranger Training Teams will be at flea markets and events in LA and Vegas and game cons and other shows in the central valley around Fresno by summer, 2026.
Guild merchants make a 10% commission from their Guild Link, free Bunker B&B and discounted shop rent at Ft. Edwards.
Merchant’s Guild Sales Team
The Merchant’s Guild Sales Team are wasteland vendors who carry Fort Edwards PX products at their booths at their local flea and farmer’s markets.
Each Ranger Training Club has an associated PX Sales Team to help provide local marketing and sales support. Ranger Training Clubs and Sales Team members work together and give demonstrations and short training classes at local flea and farmer’s markets and other events.
Merchant Guild and Sales Team Training
The Merchant’s Guild Basic Course gives wasteland artists, authors, musicians and vendors the business information needed to manage a Merchant’s Guild Sales Team in their local areas in support of their local Ranger Training Teams.
For-Profit, Cooperative Micro-Franchise
A Mojave Ranger Training Club is a for-profit micro-franchise that pays local instructors to manage a Mojave Rangers game in their local area. Fort Edwards is the central training and operational base for the Mojave Rangers, with Mobile Training Teams that operate remotely and bring trainees to the fort for certification.
Mojave Ranger School has 3 Ranger Clubs at the moment. Troop 1 of the Mojave Rangers operates near New Vegas; Troop 2 is in the Boneyard and Troop 3 in the Fresno area. Each Troop operates as a for-profit micro-franchise with its own instructors, managers and Merchant’s Guild Sales Team.
Club Funding
Each Troop has a Team Link for the Fort Edwards PX and makes a 5% club commission on all sales made through the link. The 5% commissions are intended to pay for local club liability insurance and club operating costs.
Clubs make a 10% over-ride on all sales from their Merchant’s Guild Sales Team. The Merchant’s Guild Sales Team manages flea market, farmer’s market and event booths and sells Fort Edwards PX products.
Clubs make commissions on Credit Builder and ebook subscriptions and run annual sales campaigns.
Clubs with certified instructors run local BLS and aviation training, which provides incomes for their instructors as well as profits for the club.
Manager Training
Mojave Ranger School provides free training for managers who want to establish a local club. Club Managers are required to complete the Ranger Basic, Leadership and C&GS training, which takes 2-3 years depending on the prospective manager’s starting experience.
This free apprenticeship program trains Club Managers in all aspects of 3rd SOB operations while helping managers build their own for-profit franchise from the ground up.
Rank-Based Stipends for Club Members
Club members who meet the requirements earn rank-based stipends, course graduate and other bonuses from the General Fund as well as other commissions as part of the Sales Team and as cadre for paid events.
Developing local Ranger Training Clubs lets Mojave Ranger School pay local instructors to teach first aid, radio and outdoor skills in their own neighborhoods, using a fun, post-apocalyptic LARP game.
