Vista de Nada includes a small public access TV station where wasteland producers can study and produce video production and editing, with the output posted to our Wasteland News YouTube channel.
Until the Comcast/Xfinity monopoly on cable TV, the cable TV companies (plural in those days) were required to provide public access TV channels (PATV) and resources for local residents. In some areas PATV station provided training and high quality loaner equipment.
A Cooperative Channel for Wastelanders
Most wasteland vendors, crafters or authors aren’t interested in being video producers, but with some training and assistance could easily contribute some short videos or segments for a larger show.
Live-Stream Video
Each weekend the PIO Team live-streams the Mojave Ranger School training sessions to allow remote learners to participate, and then posts the videos to our websites and appropriate courses. Bard performances, crafting demonstrations and Ranger presentations are also live-streamed and posted.
