\"\"The Followers of the Apocalypse<\/b>, or simply called the Followers<\/b>, are a humanitarian organization originating in New California<\/a> that appear multiple times in the Fallout<\/i><\/a> series.<\/p>\n

The Followers’ core goal is to provide education and medical services to those in need, as well as furthering research in non-military areas to establish a bulwark against the loss of humanity’s technological advancement after the Great War<\/a> destroyed the world.<\/p>\n

Once close allies of the New California Republic<\/a> on the West Coast, by the 23rd century, they severed official ties due to disagreements over the republic’s increasingly expansionist foreign policy, though still maintain a degree of civility, with both the NCR and Followers understanding the other is needed if they are to rebuild civilization.<\/p>\n

Forgoing preaching salvation in favor of direct-intervention humanitarianism, the Followers are generally welcomed by the inhabitants of the wasteland<\/a> in their mission to provide services, namely medical care and agricultural instruction, often without expectation of reward. Conversely, it’s often the case that those in positions of power regard them as seditious anarchists; though such accusations are not entirely without truth, the organization as a whole has no interest in seizing power.<\/p>\n
