PIO trainees who have the time to invest can take their Fort Phase training concurrently with the Ranger Basic Fort Phase and graduate both courses at once.\n<ul>\n<li>PIO trainees learn basic video and multi-media production, working on training videos and media they make, of Ranger Basic trainees during basic training at Fort Edwards.<\/li>\n<li>Trainees learn to function on a Fort Production Team<\/li>\n<li>Trainees earn product royalties on projects they assist with<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Patrol Base Phase: Interns learn remote broadcasting from field locations during phase 2 while assisting with training and drill day live-stream broadcasts from the field.\n<ul>\n<li>Trainees learn to function on a Field Production Team<\/li>\n<li>Interns also operate with drone teams and send live-stream reports with aerial footage.<\/li>\n<li>Interns get promoted to Asst. Producer (Spec 4) after the Patrol Base Phase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>SAR Phase: Asst. Producers\n<ul>\n<li>manage fort &amp; field production teams during Fort Edwards SAR Phase operations.<\/li>\n<li>manage live-stream reports and broadcasts<\/li>\n<li>Asst. Producers concurrently taking the Ranger Basic Course will be awarded the Mojave Ranger Tab at the Basic Course graduation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Expert Rifleman &amp; YOUHAD\n<ul>\n<li>The Expert Rifleman Challenge (ERC) and YOUHAD missions are the capstone of the PIO Team Basic Course. Asst. Producers\n<ul>\n<li>manage embedded broadcasts from ERC trainings and competitors<\/li>\n<li>manage embedded broadcasts from YOUHAD Drill and the Troop 4 Radio Beacon Mission and YOUHAD Feast<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qualified Asst. Producers will have the opportunity to run the ERC and YOUHAD competitions for prizes and the Expert Rifleman Bar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Promotion to Producer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A <strong>Producer<\/strong> (Spec 5) manages a specific project or part of a broadcast. The PIO Team has 5 types of Producers. The Producer Specialty Courses allow Producers to specialize in a track and earn royalties from products they manage.
