For those who have the Wasteland Weekend copies:
What you have is now called the Player’s Guide.
The project description and business details are in the Mojave Ranger Players Guide which can be downloaded for free at www.MojaveRangerSchool.com/PlayersGuide
The Player’s Guide explains how the programs work, explains concepts like LARP, milsim and how to get paid to play live-action Fallout: New Vegas at a ranger station in the Mojave Desert.
The Mojave Ranger Field Manual accompanies the Ranger Basic Course and explains the Mojave Ranger School training system and how to play the Mojave Ranger Game.
The Ranger Basic Course covers basic weapons certifications, first aid, map/compass navigation, patrolling and the field skills needed in the Mojave. The Ranger Basic Course is 10 months-long and has 96 hours of Ranger training in two 4-hour classes each month.
The Ranger Basic Course at Mojave Ranger Station is taught in 3 phases using 5 training missions that cover the basic skills needed as an NCR Park Ranger.
Ranger Basic Course
The Ranger Basic Course is a year-long Milsim training course that trains medics and radio operators from a station in the Mojave Desert. Ranger Basic has 3 phases,
Station Phase: the first 3 trainings and drills (January-March) are at Mojave Ranger Station and cover basic team procedures, Milsim procedures, Mojave Desert survival and squad equipment proficiency. Trainees are promoted to Private (E-2) after the Station Phase.

Patrol Base Phase: the second 3 trainings and drills (April-June) cover patrol base operations. Trainees operate away from the station on radio relay stations and support bases. During the Patrol Base Phase trainees learn to bivouac away from the station and operate during the dawn and dusk hours (crepuscular, like coyotes) and rest and train during the heat of the day. Trainees are promoted to Private First Class (E-3) after the Patrol Base Phase.
SAR Phase: During the Search & Rescue Phase (July-October) trainees learn to operate with either Ranger Troop 4 or OpFor and participate in the weekend operations at Mojave Station. SAR Phase includes night operations from a patrol base or the ranger station. After the SAR Phase trainees can attempt the Expert Rifleman Challenge and earn the Expert Rifleman Bar, and bonus.
