Mojave Ranger School is looking for outdoor skills trainers, campground hosts and on-camera talent for instructional videos that teach real-world first aid, radio and outdoor skills themed on the Fallout: New Vegas video game, from mod to milsim.
The goal is to have all these projects to a useful start point by January, 2026 in time to launch Drill #1 on schedule, with camping and airsoft/milsim training available at Ft. Edwards in summer 2026.
The purpose of the product sales system is to provide an economy for Mojave Ranger School. There’s 30 million people within 3 hours of Ft. Edwards and we need about 100 to be fully staffed, and can get started with much less.
Live-Action Fallout: New Vegas, From Mod to Milsim
What I want: My retirement project is a private club that teaches real-world outdoor skills and is a: fully-immersive Fallout/post-apocalyptic-themed, family-friendly, tent-based campground (no room for RV’s) where gamers, Cosplayers and LARP’ers can learn first aid, radio and other skills in the Mojave desert.
Site Limitations
Remote: Ft. Edwards is 2-5 miles off the closest paved roads with limited vehicle access.
Small: 2.5 acres is 330 feet on each side. I’m building a 100x100ft inner fort surrounded by gardens, training areas, small stores/cabins and event spaces, with 10×12 ‘bunkers’ and cabins for camping. The actual build site is 300×300 surrounded by a 30-foot easement/minefield (since we can’t have a moat).
Open to the public but generally inaccessible, hence the club structure. Free parking in the minefield.
What we have:
2.5 acres in Kern Co. CA 13.5 miles NNE from Edwards AFB
1.1 miles North of the Wasteland Weekend site (Ft. Edwards is CLOSED to the public during Wasteland Weekend)
Books on Amazon, products on Etsy, Ebay and our in-house Supply Shed

As a business: a Baker Co. Platoon is basically a local sales/training franchise that recruits and trains troopers and auxiliaries in LA, Las Vegas and the Ft. Fresno area with a monthly company training day (the Ranger School drills and radio nets, live-streamed) and a sales day (flea market, game con, etc.).
Baker Co. staff are 1099 contractors and make:
- monthly team-based commissions from products and events in your platoon’s area
- monthly rank-based stipends from the General Fund (a % of every sale made through the entire system)
- monthly training bonuses from the General Fund for participating in the monthly Company Drill
- monthly discount codes for Ranger School products from the Supply Shed
- bonus gear (once the General Fund has funding)
Convoys to Ft. Edwards
Baker Co.’s mission is to provide secure convoys between New Vegas and the Boneyard and between Ft. Fresno and the Hub (Barstow) and Ft. Edwards is almost directly in the center. Our goal is to run weekly convoys each weekend back and forth between Ft. Edwards and Ft. Fresno, New Vegas and the Boneyard, bringing troopers, auxiliaries and settlers out to the fort for training.
The long-term goal is 3 airport shuttle buses with 1 each based in Fresno, LA and Vegas.

Online Ranger Basic Course: Beta-testers wanted
Ranger Field Manual goes live on Amazon
Summer 2026: Monthly Training
When I get a van so I can travel again (apparently they cost money in the pre-war world) I’ll be;
in the BLM areas near Goodsprings each month and at the Las Vegas flea markets
at the Rose Bowl Flea Market and somewhere in LA where we can run a team training
in the Ft. Fresno area (I’m based in Visalia)
My initial goals for 2026 are to get some Baker Co. staff trained, work the bugs out of our training and business systems and get cash flow and General Fund stipends organized and get some basic buildings, fortifications and training resources established at Ft. Edwards.
